The relationship with Mobil

    The Mobil Retail Business Agent relationship is an independent contractual relationship between you and Mobil Oil New Zealand Limited.  This business opportunity requires less of an up front investment than franchises, since you are not "buying into" a business.    

Instead you are required to make an initial investment that covers the following:
 

1. Cash flow for payroll and business operating expenses
2. Purchase of inventory for the convenience store and/or branded-food offer at the service station
3. Training for the business operator or senior staff
4. Bank guarantee as security for your obligations under the Mobil Retail Business Agent agreement 

The size of the investment required varies by site, depending on factors such as the size of the service station, its location, the facilities and services available. Typically, the initial investment begins around $75,000 and can range up to $200,000+ for an "On The Run" service station.
